This summer, a team from James Hardie will be taking part in The Three Peaks Challenge in support of The Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield. The challenge, set to take place on 12th September will see ten team members scaling the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon), within 24 hours.
The challenge starts on Ben Nevis at 5am, then the team will travel six hours to Scafell Pike, leaving the final Welsh mountain, Snowdon, to be climbed at night. The team will cover a total trekking distance of over 23 miles, and a vertical ascent of more than 3,000 metres. James Hardie aim to raise a total of £6000 to help make a significant impact on the support that the The Cancer Support Centre can provide to those affected by cancer.
